CarShowNation

For people who appreciate automotive excellence!

The judging is done in a pick format. There is not a card scored judging, it would be impossible to judge the amount of cars we get in a weekend. We do however have highly trained and experienced judges. They are brought in from a different area than the event so it is not a locally judged event. Included are judges that have judged for prestigious awards such as the Ridler award. Winners of the 7 specialty awards classes are given a jacket and plaque. Winners of the other awards such as Editors Choice, etc, are given a plaque. Some events also feature Grand Champions, those winners receive a plaque and a special leather Grand Champion jacket! Judging is done all weekend long, you will see them checking and checking to make sure no car was missed!

I took my 2010 dodge Challenger to a Car show on Saturday. I was judged against Mopar Muscle. I toldthe admin people that I have the V6 in her. They told me she is still considered Muscle Cars. I would like to know how a rusty 66 Charger beat me, how a Dodge super Bee with terrible paint job, a dirty engine and the rest beat me?  Sadly, a Camaro SS beat me. I was told to add mods to the engine, but the car is still under warranty. That would void the warranty. Any advice?

Thanks,

   Dave

Hello Dave! Not knowing how that show classed the cars, it is hard to say what went down. I can understand them classing it as a muscle car, evenn if a 6cyl however. That may have been the best class it fit into for their event. Yes adding some modifications may void a warranty, you would have to see what MOPAR accepts as a mod before it voids warranty! As far as those cars beating you, sounds like you should have won, it all depends on their judging system, if mods weigh heavy, or if craftsmanship and detail do. Shows vary, our events we go by craftsmanship and detail.

Thnaks for the reply. Down here, they have a club called Red Chili Pepers and I go to their "meet and greet" every Wednesday. They all look at my car and say how beautiful she looks. They were the people judging the cars and I was not around when they looked. As far as the Mods, Mopar will void if you tamper with engine parts and if you alter wheels, and the rest. I still have 31 months left on her warranty. What can I add to her to make her look better than she does? I have the following mods now:

Custom Tint

"Mopar" Decals

"Scat Pack Bee" decals

Upper Fade out stripes

Custom "Challenger" windshield visor

Custom seat covers

Steering wheel cover

Should I get the Dioablo Predator? It is supposed to increase HP up to 30 HP. It can be turned back to stock settings easily.

Any advice on ANY MODS would be appreciated!

Thanks,

 Dave
